ZAMBIA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION 2026 SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

The Zambia Medical Association (ZMA) will be hosting its 62^nd Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting from 23^rd to 25^th July, 2026 at Avani Victoria Falls Resort in Livingstone.

The theme for the conference is “Safeguarding Zambia’s health gains in a resurging economy: Leveraging domestic resources for sustainable health financing”.

Subthemes:

1. Sustaining Gains Against HIV, TB, and Malaria in a Transitioning Financing Landscape
2. The Rising Burden of Non-Communicable Diseases: Financing Prevention, Early Detection, and Long-Term Care
3. Maternal, Neonatal, Child, and Adolescent Health: Preventing Reversal of Mortality Gains
4. Climate Change, Urbanisation, and Emerging Public Health Threats in Zambia
5. Health Workforce, Infrastructure, and Digital Health: Financing the Foundations of Quality Care.

The program overview will include scientific paper presentations centered around the theme, discussions on topical matters affecting the welfare of the membership, keynote speeches and the 2026 AGM business.
