The Zambia Medical Association is thrilled to announce that Zambia was represented at this year’s American Neurological Association (ANA) Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, USA.
Zambia is one of four African countries who are recipients of Small Pilot Research Grants from the ANA’s Global Neurology Presidential Initiative. These Pilot Grants will help fund research projects of early career neurologists and residents in Zambia, Uganda, Ghana and Nigeria.
Dr. Melody Asukile, treasurer of the Neurological Association of Zambia (NAZ) accepted the award on behalf of NAZ.
Dr. Asukile and her colleagues Dr. Lorraine Chishimba and Dr. Dickson Munkombwe showcased several aspects of the Zambia Neurology team’s stroke research by presenting three abstracts at the meeting. The two were selected as Abstracts of Distinction.
Congratulations to the team.
