The Zambia Medical Association met with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) to deliberate on various policy issues affecting the profession. Issues discussed bordered on Junior residency (internship) policy, enforcement of standards, and CPD efficiency .
ZMA delegation was led by ZMA President-Dr. Kaumba Tolopu, ZMA and Secretary General-Dr. Oliver Kaoma others were, ZMA Medical Education and Research Chairperson-Dr. Chuma Njovu and ZMA Ethics and Professional Board Chairperson-Dr. Innocent Ngwira.
Representing HPCZ was HPCZ Registrar & Chief Executive Officer -Professor Fastone M.Goma , HPCZ Deputy Registrar- Technical Services-Dr. Muhumpu Kafwamfwa & Manager-Registration- Mr Jon Kasalika.
ZMA remains open and committed to deliberations on matters of health policies and membership welfare.
