ZMA INDUCTS 112 LUSAKA APEX MEDICAL UNIVERSITY NEWLY GRADUATED DOCTORS INTO THE MEDICAL PROFESSION

ZMA has today, 21st December, 2021 welcomed 112 into the Medical Profession.The induction ceremony was held as a hybrid at Lusaka Apex Medical University Campus (LAMU) in Chalala, Lusaka.

ZMA was represented by ZMA President, Dr. Crispin Moyo and ZMA Secretary General, Dr. Kaumba Roy Tolopu. The Lusaka Apex Medical University (LAMU) was led by LAMU Chief Executive Officer -Professor Peter Mwaba. In attendance was also, LAMU Acting Vice-Chancellor -Professor Tackson Lambert, Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor-Professor John Mudenda, Dean-Faculty of Medicine-Dr. Yotham Phiri among others.

ZMA President – Dr. Crispin Moyo encouraged the new doctors to exhibit professionalism in their work, to gain competence and continuously improve their knowledge in the medical field. He added that they should practice integrity, be courteous with patients and treat them with dignity as well as a exercise restraint when engaging on social media. LAMU Acting Vice – Chancellor -Professor Tackson Lambert counselled the new doctors to always work hard, be timely in patient responses and take keen interest in medical research. ZMA Secretary General, Dr. Kaumba Roy Tolopu led the new doctors in reciting the Hippocratic Oath. ZMA congratulates the Doctors and wishes them well as they join the profession.
