ZMA INDUCTS 78 DOCTORS INTO THE MEDICAL PROFESSION.

The Zambia Medical Association (ZMA) in collaboration with the Resident Doctors Association of Zambia (RDAZ) on Saturday , 22nd August , 2020 welcomed 78 doctors into the medical profession. The inductees constituted foreign trained medical doctors from various nations such as China, Russia among others.

The induction ceremony was held at Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka.

In attendance were the ZMA and RDAZ dignitaries.

As per tradition, the new doctors recited the Hippocratic Oath led by the ZMA President, Dr. Samson Chisele. By taking this oath, the doctors pledged to uphold ethical and professional standards as they practice the art of medicine.

During his speech, Dr. Chisele urged the new doctors to apply their knowledge and practice. Especially now as the country requires their services amid the global pandemic-COVID-19.

Representing the Health Profession Council of Zambia Registrar (HPCZ) was Dr. Kawa Mmembe, the Director -Registration, who took the opportunity to educate the new doctors on good professional conduct.

The Zambia Medical Association would like to once more extend a warm welcome its newest doctors.
